It is the mission of Anchorage to enable individuals to live free from the abuse of alcohol and/or drugs by providing treatment programming and other professional services within an atmosphere of dignity, trust and respect.
Our Key Principles
It is our belief that a recovering individual must abstain from all mood-altering chemicals.
New Life Coping Skills
Recovery involves developing and using positive coping skills in order to live a successful and productive life.
Trust and Responsibility
It's very important for the person in recovery to take personal responsibility for their actions. We present our clients with challenges that allow the development of trust and responsibility.
Fellowship and Meetings
Client's are required to attend at least two outside self-help meetings per week. While most clients prefer AA or NA, we encourage clients to find the group that is right for them.
Good Mental Health
When we are free of depression, anxiety, excessive stress and worry, and other psychological problems, we are more able to live our lives to the fullest. Peace of mind is a natural condition, and is available to everyone.
